Hastelloy C-22 (UNS N06022 / DIN 2.4602) is a Ni-Cr-Mo-W nickel superalloy with the best all-round corrosion resistance of any nickel alloy — PREN ≈ 66, superior to C-276. Higher chromium and lower carbon than C-276 give C-22 outstanding performance in both oxidizing and reducing media, with excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. With higher chromium (20–22.5%) and lower carbon (≤ 0.015%) than C-276, C-22 excels in both oxidizing and reducing environments, resisting pitting (PREN ≈ 66), crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.
