Hastelloy C-22 (UNS N06022 / DIN 2.4602) is the premium material for tablet press lower punches handling corrosive pharmaceutical formulations. As a specialized C22 lower punch material supplier, Vertex Alloy provides solution-annealed ground round bars from 6 to 120 mm to ASTM B574 with EN 10204 3.1 certificates, plus custom-machined finished lower punches per drawing (TSM / EU / IPT, D & B tooling). C-22 offers the best all-round corrosion resistance of any nickel alloy — PREN ≈ 66, superior to C-276 — with excellent fatigue strength and full heat-number traceability. Hastelloy C-22 (UNS N06022, DIN 2.4602) is a Ni-Cr-Mo-W superalloy widely specified as the premium material for tablet press lower punches handling corrosive pharmaceutical formulations such as potassium chloride, effervescents and acidic or hygroscopic powders. With a PREN of ≈ 66 — higher than C-276 — C-22 delivers outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking, plus excellent fatigue life over millions of compression cycles. Vertex Alloy supplies solution-annealed C-22 ground round bars from 6 to 120 mm to ASTM B574 with EN 10204 3.1 certificates, and custom-machined finished lower punches per your drawings (TSM / EU / IPT standards, all tablet press brands). Full heat-number traceability from mill bar to finished punch.
