Incoloy 800, 800H, and 800HT are iron-nickel-chromium solid-solution alloys(commonly and historically also referred to as "Inconel 800") with approxi-mately 33% nickel, 21% chromium, 0.4% aluminum, 0.4% titanium, and the balance iron. The three grades share the same nominal composition but differ in carbon content, annealing temperature, and grain-size control, making them optimized for different temperature ranges. Incoloy 800 is the general-purpose grade; 800H (high carbon, controlled grain size) and 800HT (further higher anneal temperature with tighter Al+Ti controls) are designed for high-temperature creep-rupture service. The alloys are used extensively for service in temperatures up to 815 °C where resistance to oxidation,carburization, nitriding, and chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking is required. They are non-magnetic, weldable by all conventional methods, and approved for ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code service.

Incoloy 800/800H/800HT alloys are workhorse materials for high-temperature service in chemical, petrochemical, and power-generation industries. The base alloy (800) provides general oxidation resistance and good mechanical properties up to 815 °C. 800H is the higher-carbon variant (0.05–0.10% C) solution-annealed at 1149 °C minimum to develop a coarse grain size (ASTM 5 or coarser) for improved creep-rupture strength. 800HT is a further refinement of 800H with tighter Al+Ti control (0.85–1.20%) and is solution annealed at 1175 °C minimum to maximize high-temperature creep-rupture properties. The alloys are often selected for reformer tubes, cracking furnace components, heat-treatment fixtures, and superheater/reheater tubing.
