6060 aluminum is a heat-treatable Al-Mg-Si (6000-series) alloy widely used for extruded profiles and tubes. It is closely related to 6063 but has a slightly higher silicon and magnesium content, giving it marginally better strength while retaining excellent extrudability and surface finish. The T6 temper (solution heat treated + artificially aged) provides the highest strength level, making it suitable for structural and mechanical applications.
