Aluminum 1100 is a commercially pure wrought aluminum alloy with a minimum aluminum content of 99.0%. It is the softest, most formable, and most widely used of the 1000-series pure aluminum grades. Being non-heat-treatable, it is strengthened exclusively by cold working (H-series tempers).

Aluminum 1100 (UNS A91100) is the workhorse of commercially pure aluminum, prized for its excellent corrosion resistance, high thermal and electrical conductivity, superior formability, and good weldability. Available in sheet from 0.2–6.35 mm and plate from 6.35–150 mm+, it is supplied in O, H12, H14, H16, H18, and H112 tempers to suit a wide range of strengths and ductility requirements. It is the material of choice for food processing equipment, chemical handling, heat exchangers, architectural applications, and any use where purity, corrosion resistance, or formability is paramount.
