Ringkasan

NIMONIC Alloy 90 (UNS N07090) is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-chromium-cobalt superalloy containing Ni 57, Cr 20.5, Co 17, Al 1.6, and Ti 2.6. The high cobalt content (Co 17) provides significant solid-solution strengthening and enhances the precipitation-hardening response through the formation of fine gamma-prime precipitates. NIMONIC 90 offers excellent high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance, and creep resistance for service up to 920°C (1700°F), making it suitable for the hottest sections of gas turbine engines, including turbine blades, combustion chambers, and afterburner components.

Deskripsi (Bahasa Inggris)

NIMONIC Alloy 90 is supplied in the heat-treated condition of 1975°F air cool plus 1300°F, producing yield strength of 800 MPa, tensile strength of 1234 MPa, elongation of 33%, and hardness of HRB 38. The alloy is manufactured to AMS 5829 standard. The combination of cobalt solid-solution strengthening and Al + Ti precipitation hardening delivers superior mechanical properties at elevated temperatures. NIMONIC 90 is widely specified for the most demanding hot-section components in aerospace gas turbines, rocket engines, and critical high-temperature structural applications where maximum strength-to-weight ratio and thermal stability are required.
