Ringkasan

ASTM A403 317L stub ends are wrought austenitic stainless steel butt-welded lap-joint fittings manufactured under ASTM A403 / A403M (Standard Specification for Wrought Austenitic Stainless Steel Piping Fittings). A stub end is butt-welded to the end of a pipe and used in combination with a free-floating lap joint flange (backing flange) to form a flanged connection. 317L (UNS S31703) is a low-carbon, high-molybdenum (3.0–4.0%) austenitic stainless steel that provides significantly enhanced corrosion resistance over 316L, particularly in sulfuric acid, chloride-containing, and high-temperature process environments. The low-carbon grade (L, ≤0.030% C) ensures no intergranular corrosion after welding.
