Descripción General

Maraging 300 (18Ni Maraging 300) is an ultra-high-strength, low-carbon iron-nickel martensitic steel that achieves its strength through age hardening (maraging) rather than carbon content. With approximately 18% nickel and 12% cobalt, Maraging 300 round bar delivers tensile strength of 1,930 MPa (280 ksi) minimum, combined with excellent fracture toughness, dimensional stability during heat treatment, and superior weldability. The round bar form is supplied in solution-annealed condition for machining, followed by a low-temperature aging cycle (480°C / 900°F) to develop full strength. It is widely used in aerospace, defense, tooling, and high-performance applications requiring extreme strength and toughness.
