Descripción General

HASTELLOY Alloy N (UNS N10003) is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium superalloy containing Ni bal, Cr 7, Mo 16.5, and Fe 5 max, specifically designed for resistance to high-temperature fluoride salts and fused salt environments. The low chromium and high molybdenum composition provides excellent resistance to fluoride salt corrosion and thermal stress. The alloy is widely used in nuclear power applications, particularly for molten salt reactors, fluoride salt processing equipment, and high-temperature chemical process systems where conventional Ni-Cr-Mo alloys are not suitable.

Descripción (Inglés)

HASTELLOY Alloy N is supplied in the sheet solution heat-treated condition, delivering yield strength of 310 MPa, tensile strength of 793 MPa, elongation of 51%, and hardness of HRB 96. The alloy is manufactured to multiple ASTM standards covering sheet/plate (B 434), rod (B 573), and fittings (B 366). The good ductility (51%) combined with high molybdenum content provides excellent resistance to fluoride salt corrosion. HASTELLOY N is widely used in nuclear power generation, fluoride salt processing, and high-temperature molten salt applications.
