
Descripción General
HASTELLOY Alloy 6 (UNS N06007) is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum superalloy containing Ni bal, Cr 22, Fe 19.5, Mo 6.5, and Cb+Ta 2, designed for excellent resistance to both oxidizing and reducing chemical environments. The high iron and chromium content combined with molybdenum additions provides versatile corrosion resistance across a wide range of acid and alkaline media, while the niobium (columbium) and tantalum additions enhance resistance to intergranular corrosion. The alloy is widely used in chemical process equipment, particularly for handling sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and mixed acid solutions

HASTELLOY Alloy 6 is supplied in the sheet solution heat-treated condition, delivering yield strength of 317 MPa, tensile strength of 703 MPa, elongation of 62%, and hardness of HRB 84. The alloy is manufactured to multiple ASTM standards covering sheet/plate/strip (B 582), rod (B 581), pipe and tube (B 619, B 622, B 626), and fittings (B 366). The exceptional ductility (62%) provides outstanding formability for complex fabrications. HASTELLOY 6 is widely used in chemical processing, pulp and paper production, and flue gas desulfurization systems where balanced corrosion resistance and good fabricability are required.
