

Descripción General
H60 is a Chinese standard (GB/T 5231) wrought copper-zinc alloy containing approximately 60% copper and 40% zinc. It belongs to the brass family of alloys and is one of the standard workhorse brasses for general engineering applications. H60 offers a good balance of strength, ductility, formability,and corrosion resistance, making it suitable for deep drawing, stamping,machining, and cold forming operations. The alloy can be supplied in various tempers (soft, half-hard, hard) to suit specific application requirements.H60 corresponds approximately to UNS C27200 / C28000 in the U.S. standard and is widely used in hardware, fasteners, deep-drawn parts, decorative items, automotive components, and electrical/electronic parts.

H60 brass combines the high ductility of higher-copper brasses with improved strength and machinability at a more economical cost. It has good cold working characteristics, excellent polishability, and good solderability,making it suitable for a wide range of industrial and decorative applications.The alloy is non-magnetic, has good electrical and thermal conductivity,and exhibits good corrosion resistance in normal atmospheric conditions and fresh water. For marine or severe chloride environments, additional protection or higher-copper alloys are recommended.
