UNS C71500 (70/30 Copper Nickel) Tube

Copper AlloyPipe/Tube
UNS C71500 (70/30 Copper Nickel) Tube

Overview

UNS C71500 is a 70% copper / 30% nickel wrought copper-nickel (cupronickel) tube alloy, extensively specified for seawater service, heat exchangers, and condenser tubes due to its exceptional resistance to seawater corrosion, pitting, crevice attack, biofouling, and erosion-corrosion (impingement). It offers significantly better corrosion and erosion resistance than the more common 90/10 CuNi (UNS C70600), making it the premium cupronickel choice for high-velocity seawater, polluted harbor water, and extended-service-life power plant and shipboard condensers. The alloy is supplied as seamless or welded tube, annealed and pickled for optimum corrosion performance.
