Titanium Grade 2 Sheet & Plate (UNS R50400 / CP Titanium)

Special AlloysSheet/Plate
 Titanium Grade 2 Sheet

Overview

Titanium Grade 2 (also known as Commercially Pure Titanium, CP Ti Gr.2) is an unalloyed titanium grade offering an excellent balance of moderate strength, exceptional corrosion resistance, outstanding formability, and good weldability. It is the most widely used grade of commercially pure titanium, often serving as the workhorse titanium for industrial, marine, and chemical processing applications where high corrosion resistance is required but the strength of higher grades is unnecessary.

Description (English)

Grade 2 is the default choice for chemical processing, marine hardware, heat exchangers, medical implants, and any application where corrosion resistance and biocompatibility are paramount. For higher strength requirements, Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) or Grade 23 (Ti-6Al-4V ELI) are typically specified.
