Description (English)
S32615 is a high-silicon austenitic stainless steel containing approximately 18% chromium, 18% nickel, 5–6% silicon, with additions of molybdenum and copper. The high silicon content provides outstanding resistance to hot concentrated sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and other strongly oxidizing media, significantly outperforming standard 300-series austenitic stainless steels in such environments. It also exhibits good resistance to stress corrosion cracking and is well suited for heat exchangers, evaporators, and process equipment in sulfuric acid production, fertilizer, and chemical processing industries.
