Description (English)
Shanghai Vertex Alloy Co., Ltd (Vertex Alloy) supplies Q235B carbon structural steel sheet and plate to GB/T 700-2006 / GB/T 3274. Q235B is China's most widely used general-purpose structural steel: minimum yield strength 235 MPa (≤ 16 mm thick), tensile strength 370–500 MPa and elongation ≥ 26%, with the B quality level guaranteeing 27 J longitudinal Charpy V-notch impact energy at +20°C. Low carbon (≤ 0.20%) and carbon equivalent give outstanding weldability — SMAW, GMAW, FCAW and SAW all work with standard consumables and no preheat for normal thicknesses; the 180° cold-bend test (d = 1.5a) confirms good formability. Broadly equivalent to ASTM A36, EN S235JR (1.0038), JIS SS400 and DIN St37-2. Hot-rolled plate 2–200 mm thick, 1000–2500 mm wide, up to 12000 mm long; cold-rolled sheet 0.5–6 mm; delivery as-rolled, controlled-rolled or normalized. Cutting, bending, drilling and shot-blast + primer processing available; EN 10204 3.1 certificates with full heat traceability. Typical applications: building steel frames and base plates, bridges, machinery frames, ship superstructures, transmission towers and general fabrication. Contact us for the latest stock and pricing.
