Description (English)

Hastelloy C-22 (UNS N06022, DIN 2.4602) is the premium nickel superalloy for tablet press upper punches and capsule filler tamping pins processing corrosive pharmaceutical formulations such as potassium chloride, effervescents and acidic or hygroscopic powders. With a PREN of ≈ 66 — higher than C-276 — C-22 keeps cup tips and pin heads clean, non-sticking and contamination-free where D2 and 440C tooling pits and builds up powder films within days.
